Football site 90Min have claimed that Arsenal are ‘confident’ of beating plenty of Premier League clubs including Manchester City, Everton and West Ham to the signing of Norwich City right-back Max Aarons this summer.
Aarons, 21, has emerged as a target for the Gunners who are ready to freshen up the squad. The report claims that Edu and Mikel Arteta are ready to cash in on Hector Bellerin, and replace him with the highly-rated Aarons.
The England Under-21 international has just helped Norwich gain promotion back to the Premier League, having also done so during 2018-19 – and was one of the shining lights during the club’s relegation in 2019-20.
Aarons is rated at £30million and Norwich will not stand in his way if the Gunners – or any other clubs – table such an offer. Arsenal are confident they can land him, but Bayern, Man City, West Ham, Everton and Palace are keen.

TBR’s view – Aarons would be a stunning signing
Is he ready to play for a club like Arsenal? Without a doubt. Better than Bellerin? Right now, probably not – but given that he is four years younger than Bellerin, he has the potential to become a better right-back than the Spaniard.
Aarons is good value at £30million. English, still only 21, and a future Three Lions star, Aarons has all the attributes required to go on and become one of Europe’s best right-sided defenders. That makes £30million cheap.
