Martin Odegaard to Arsenal is signed, sealed and delivered, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. The Norwegian has completed a £34 million move to the Gunners, rejoining following his loan spell last season.
Odegaard signed for the club during the January transfer window. He played 20 times for Arsenal, scoring twice and registering as many assists. Arguably the highlight of his time in North London was scoring a crucial goal against Tottenham.
It has been claimed that Mikel Arteta had prioritised the Norway captain this summer. Reports had claimed that he was the club’s number one target for this window.

Romano believes personal terms have been agreed upon. Odegaard will pen a five-year contract with Arsenal and end his time at Real Madrid where he has been since his teens.
The 22-year-old leaves the Bernabeu having played 11 times for Los Blancos. He never really adhered himself to Zinedine Zidane and now Carlo Ancelotti has opted to sell him.
Madrid’s loss is Arsenal’s gain. They will tie down a player ahead of his best years and as a result, he could become a stunning signing for the club.
Last season Arteta called Odegaard ‘incredible’ and he’ll be delighted to get this deal over the line.
Odegaard could be glorious Arsenal signing
Some cynics may point to the fact that Odegaard wasn’t exactly prolific with goals or assists last season as a reason not to sign him.
It’s always tricky signing for a club in January though. With a full season under his belt in the Premier League, he could shine, as he did at Real Sociedad .

During that loan spell, he scored seven goals and claimed nine assists and proved a constant menace in La Liga.
Arsenal’s defeat to Brentford last weekend highlighted a need for more quality. Odegaard brings that to the table and there is a lot to get excited about with this signing for the Gunners faithful.
