Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of signing goalkeeper Runar Runarsson from Dijon.
According to Icelandic publication DV, the player actually had his medical yesterday, and is set to sign a five-year contract at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners are moving to replace Emi Martinez, who appears to be joining Aston Villa.

The Argentine stopper replaced the injured Bernd Leno towards the back end of last season and performed superbly between the sticks.
His run in the team has increased his market value, with talkSPORT reporting Villa are paying £20 million for Martinez including add-ons.
It is thought Runarsson is only costing Arsenal around £1.5 million.
TBR’s View – Wheeling and dealing
Arsenal need to wheel and deal in order to raise the necessary funds to sign players like Thomas Partey and/or Houssem Aouar.

To get as much as £20 million for £20,000-a-week star Martinez (Spotrac) is great business, but then it is important the South American is adequately replaced.
Little is known about Runarsson, but he surely has to be fairly risk-free at just £1.5 million.
