Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo have claimed that Arsenal are ‘attentive’ to Barcelona midfielder Rafinha this summer and could land the Brazil international for a bargain figure this summer – if Celta Vigo fail to do so.
Rafinha, 27, who has clocked up 90 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona over the years – and had a hand in 20 goals – is one of a number of Barca players that could be sold this summer in order to bring in funds to ease their financial issues.
A two-time Brazil international, Rafinha offers versatility – showing quality in central midfield, attacking midfield and on both flanks. He is currently on loan at Celta Vigo, who have the option to make a deal permanent for a bargain £14.3million.
However, Arsenal have become aware of his availability and if Celta choose not to sign Rafinha, then the Gunners could swoop for the bargain Barca ace – who has impressed alongside Arsenal flop Denis Suarez this season.

TBR’s view – A player like Rafinha is always useful
His ability to play in so many varied positions is crucial for a side that could qualify for the Europa League and have many games on their plate. Arsenal and Rafinha, then, seem like the perfect match.
At such a small transfer fee, Rafinha could be a really good signing for The Gunners – especially with the north London club having to agree a wage deferral to balance the books, amid the global health crisis. He might not be a starter, but he is useful.
