Report: Arsenal are about to make transfer bid for 'brilliant' £30m player
Arsenal are set to make a new bid for Aaron Ramsdale in the near future, the Guardian say.
Arsenal have already seen two bids for the Sheffield Uniteed goalkeeper rejected, but are not giving up in the chase.
Mikel Arteta’s side seemingly have great faith that Ramsdale could develop into an elite level stopper at the Emirates Stadium.
And Arsenal are hoping that they can make it third time lucky, as they look to tie up the goalkeeper who has been called ‘brilliant’ by Jordan Pickford (England Youtube).
Big money needed
If they are to see a bid accepted it is claimed that the Championship side want at least £30 million plus add-ons in the same report.
At that price, Arsenal would be placing a significant amount of faith in the 23-year-old.
Ramsdale has experienced relegation in his first two regular seasons of top flight football, but he has been tipped as a potential England number one of the future.
He could well turn out to be Arsenal’s long-term successor for Bernd Leno.
Arsenal appear to be willing to commit sizeable sums on players with high potential this summer, with Ben White, Albert Sami Lokonga and Nuno Tavares among the other players they are targeting or have already sealed deals for.
