Tottenham and Arsenal are weighing up whether or not to make a move for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, according to Calciomercato.

Wolves came in with a bid of £25 million for the defensive midfielder during the summer but the Milanese warrior decided to stay at the San Siro.

That looks like a decent move as far as Milan are concerned, with his form seeing his valuation soar.

Kessie has scored four goals and registered three assists during his 17 games in all competitions this season.

The 23-year-old has showcased his versatility to play as a holding midfielder or a more natural central midfield role.

He is clearly thriving right now and Milan are thought to value their player at around £40 million.

Kessie’s current deal expires in 2020 and the Serie A outfit are keen to get him tied down to an extension.

The Ivory Coast international has helped Milan to the top of the league and Stefano Poli won’t want to lose an integral player.

Both North London clubs signed players who typically operate where the youngster plays for Milan.

Tottenham added Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Arsenal completed the signing of Thomas Partey.

Kessie has showcased an ability to get involved in a more box-to-box role this season, however, and clearly, that has alerted the Premier League duo.

Tottenham would surely hold the aces right now.

Jose Mourinho’s team are top of the pile and are playing some really good football during 2020/21.

Arsenal spent big on Partey and having spent so long outside the Champions League, their aspirations of signing Kessie could be hampered.

His value might be soaring but in the form of his life, the maestro could prove a quality acquisition and one with bags of potential.
