Report: Arsenal and Tottenham target Arkadiusz Milik given Napoli ultimatum

Arsenal and Tottenham could both be boosted by news from Napoli, with the Italian giants said to be running out of patience with Arkadiusz Milik.

The Polish striker has been linked with a move to north London this summer, amongst other clubs.

And according to Mundo Deportivo, officials in Naples have now given Milik an ultimatum when it comes to staying with the Serie A club.

According to the report, Napoli wants an answer from Milik within 20 days. By then, they will either expect Milik to commit his future to the club in the form of contract renewal or be placed on the transfer market.

It is reported Napoli will ask for around 50m Euros for the Poland international. That fee, despite being hefty, could well put Arsenal and Spurs on alert.

The Gunners, in particular, may well fancy making their move. The club is widely expected to lose both Aubameyang and Lacazette this summer. Milik, therefore, would seem to be a ready-made replacement.

Let’s be honest, if Arsenal are to lose their strikers, then they need to sign someone. The likes of the Milik, then, are bound to be top of their shopping list.

This development gives the Gunners a boost. Napoli appears to be running out of patience with their man.

It’s definitely a situation for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta to monitor closely. It could well come down to timing, too.

Arsenal will need to be sure they are losing Lacazette and ‘Auba’ before moving. If they know that for sure, they might be able to jump the gun and get in their first ahead of the pack.
