Italian outlet CalcioNapoli24 have claimed that both north London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik this summer, with the player expected to leave Napoli.
Milik, 26, has been in excellent form in the four years he has spent at Napoli since joining the club from Ajax in 2016. In 109 outings in all competitions, the 49-time Poland international has scored 49 goals – as well as laying on five assists.
However, with Dries Mertens expected to sign a new contract with Napoli, it is believed that will seal Milik’s fate. Plenty of clubs are interested in signing the Polish star, including Arsenal and Spurs. But the English duo are not alone in their pursuit.
Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Borussia Dortmund are keen, while Milik appears to want a move to Real Madrid. Interested parties will have to splash a fee of £40million to land Milik, given his current contract expires in the summer of 2021.

TBR’s view – Who needs Milik more – Tottenham or Arsenal?
Milik is a top, top striker. At £40million, any interested parties would be making a top signing. But which north London side needs him more? Arsenal may need Milik, if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang does choose to jump ship.
Barcelona are supposedly keen, while Alexandre Lacazette is also being linked with an exit. Tottenham, meanwhile, need a striker to act as cover for Harry Kane – but Milik will fancy himself good enough to be first choice for a Champions League side.
Spurs need Milik more, but whether Milik would go to Spurs, it remains to be seen. If Aubameyang and Lacazette leave, though, Arsenal will need Milik just as much as Jose Mourinho’s side.
