Arsenal and Spurs have been dealt a blow in their respective pursuits of Dominik Szoboszlai, with Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane making contact already.
AS claims that reports in Germany suggest the Madrid boss has contacted Szoboszlai by telephone already as he looks to try and ensure Real are the club of choice for Szoboszlai.
The Hungarian starlet has lit up the European scene this season. His goals and assists have caught the eye at both club and country level, meaning he is one of the most courted players on the continent.
Indeed, 90Min claims both Arsenal and Tottenham are keeping a close eye on proceedings. The Gunners, in particular, are said to be very keen on Szoboszlai to solve their creative midfielder crisis.
News, however, of Zidane making his presence known will worry Mikel Arteta and Jose Mourinho. Madrid, of course, remain a footballing superpower and have the added intrigue of Szoboszlai following in Ferenc Puskas’ footsteps.
