Arsenal and Manchester United are both in need of a new striker in this month’s transfer window, and AS Roma’s Tammy Abraham is reportedly being monitored.
The Gunners are without Gabriel Jesus after the Brazilian hurt his knee at the World Cup. He had to undergo surgery and is set to spend a while on the sidelines. Manchester United, on the other hand, had to get rid of Cristiano Ronaldo, which has left them short of options up top.
Both clubs are on the market for a new number nine, and Abraham is the latest name to come out of the rumour mill.

Arsenal and Manchester United want to sign Tammy Abraham
According to Italian outlet La Repubblica, as relayed by Voce Giallorossa, Roma Press and AS Roma Live, Arsenal and Manchester United are both monitoring Abraham.
The Englishman, who moved to the Italian capital from Chelsea in the summer of 2021, became an instant hit. He scored 27 goals last season, but things have been difficult this time around.
Since the start of this campaign, Abraham has scored just four goals in 21 appearances. That is a shocking record for a striker, but that doesn’t mean he’s a bad player at all.

The 25-year-old is good with his back to goal, can hold the ball up, is excellent in the air and has shown previously that he can be prolific in front of goal.
He is a fine, fine player, and it looks like Arsenal and Manchester United are both trying to take advantage of his poor form. The report claims the two English clubs are interested in signing him and have even made inquiries about a move this month.
Abraham still has three-and-a-half years left on his contract at Roma.
Even though he has had a poor campaign, it is unlikely he will be available for a small fee, especially as Chelsea have an option to buy him back for £70 million (€80m) at the end of this season [The Athletic].
