The Express have claimed that Liverpool and Arsenal will need to part with a bargain fee of just £6.8million to sign RedBull Salzburg wonderkid Karim Adeyemi, after the Premier League duo were linked last month.
Adeyemi, 17, is currently shining for Salzburg’s feeder club FC Liefering, who play in the second tier of Austrian football. The attacker has scored 11 goals in 17 games and laid on eight assists. It has seen Europe’s biggest sides take notice.
The Germany youth international is considered one of the most exciting prospects in Austrian football and certainly one of the more exciting in Europe. But the Gunners and Jurgen Klopp’s side are not alone in their pursuit.
According to a report by transfermarkt, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelon are also interested. After joining Salzburg in the summer of 2018 for around £3million, The Express have now claimed the attacker will cost £6.8million.
TBR’s view – £6.8m a bargain, but Liverpool or Arsenal?
Looking at his stats, less than £7million is a bargain for a 17-year-old talent who is so prolific in front of goal in the second tier of Austrian football. But which side would be better, Liverpool or Arsenal?
Both sides have brought through young players this season. In the Carabao Cup, the two sides went up against eachother and it saw many teenagers take to the field including Gabriel Martinelli, Rhian Brewster and Bukayo Saka.
Liverpool and Arsenal both have excellent attackins options and it would mean Adeyemi would have to be very patient. So much so, that it is difficult to differ between the sides if given the option of both.
