Arsenal and Liverpool could have been handed a boost with their transfer endeavours with Gazzetta claiming Inter Milan are ready to offload Milan Skriniar this summer.
Both clubs are thought to be interested in the services of the centre-back who was recently dropped by Antonio Conte for a game against Torino.
The Serie A giants are asking for around £45 million for the 25-year-old, with Manchester City and Manchester United also keen on the player.
Skriniar has been in decent form for Inter throughout 2019/20, playing 28 times under the former Chelsea manager.
The man with 31 caps for Slovakia has been at the San Siro since signing from Sampdoria for £30 million in July 2017 (Daily Mail).
Arsenal would probably need to reach European qualification to entice the defender to the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s team are currently four points off seventh but could still qualify by winning the FA Cup this season.
For Liverpool, spending £45 million on a centre-back to possibly begin as cover doesn’t seem logical.
Boss Jurgen Klopp won’t want wholesale changes made to his squad but with several fringe players likely to leave there will be some room for manoeuvre.
Skriniar might prove an ideal partner for Virgil van Dijk; although Joe Gomez and Joel Matip have both proved their worth in the last two seasons.

The Slovakian enforcer is only 25 and whoever does sign him will be making a sound investment.
Conte’s asking price for the defender might put Arsenal and Liverpool off and that could alert the Manchester clubs.
Skriniar does look like he might be a decent fit for Liverpool though; with Klopp’s typically getting the very best out of young, hungry players.
With fitness doubts plaguing Matip and Gomez being off the pace of late that could twist his arm to part with £45 million and land Skriniar ahead of next season.
