West Bromwich Albion wonderkid Jovan Malcolm is attracting attention from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.
According to a report by The Daily Mail, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United are all keen on Malcolm. West Brom are understandably desperate to hold onto him.
Malcolm scored four goals against Liverpool’s U18 side last weekend. This took him to seven goals in just five games and now Liverpool are interested in the teenager.
The two Manchester clubs and Arsenal are also monitoring the 16-year-old. West Brom will now have to scrap to keep Malcolm at The Hawthorns and he is not the only Baggies youngster who could leave.
This report comes just a few days after rumours surrounding Rico Richards’ future. According to The Sun, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on the 16-year-old winger.
West Brom now face a battle to keep both Malcolm and Richards on their books amid interest from the Premier League’s big boys.
West Brom must be desperate to avoid losing Richards and Malcolm after a disappointing summer for the academy. Morgan Rogers joined Man City in a big-money move while Louie Barry signed for Barcelona.
The Baggies are clearly producing some talented young players with the likes of Rekeem Harper and Nathan Ferguson in and around the first-team. Malcolm and Richards could lead their new era if they don’t go down the same route as Rogers and Barry.
