Arsenal and Chelsea are among a clutch of clubs in discussions with the agent of Brazilian wonderkid Kaio Jorge, according to Calciomercato.

The 19-year-old has caught the eye with some decent performances for Santos where he has risen through the youth ranks.

It is claimed the Premier League duo along with Ajax, Lyon and Shakhtar have all contacted Jorge’s agent, Giuliano Bertolucci.

Juventus and Inter are also keen on his services, with the player able to sign a pre-contract agreement in June ahead of his contract expiring in December.

Jorge has scored four times and registered one assist during the current campaign, operating in a familiar centre-forward role.

The youngster has played 51 first-team games in total, scored nine goals at senior level.

Arsenal could be in the market for a striker next season and that could lead them to Jorge.

Alexandre Lacazette has been linked with a move away and so too has Eddie Nketiah, with the Hale End graduate struggling for game time this season.

If both of those leave it would leave Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gabriel Martinelli as the only two strikers at the club.

Chelsea have Timo Werner, Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham on their books. It’s not inconceivable, however, that at least one of those could leave in the summer.

Martinelli found the net 10 times in his maiden season in England and that could bode well with regards to a punt on Jorge.

The striker is very much deemed one for the future and with some of Europe’s top clubs keen, Arsenal would be wise to pounce ahead of Chelsea.
