According to Sport Bild, Arsenal have made contact over the potential signing of exciting Danish youngster, Zidan Sertdemir.

The teenage sensation is said to be wanted by a host of European clubs. The report claims the Bundesliga could be the preferred destination of Sertdemir although both Arsenal and Ajax are said to have been ‘in contact’.

Sertdemir, who was named after French legend Zinedine Zidane by his parents, is one of Scandinavia’s brightest young talents.

Currently with Nordsjaelland, it already expected he will bring in a seven-figure sum this summer, according to Bild’s report.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is already making a name for himself in terms of nurturing young talent. The likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe are thriving under the Gunners boss, although Folarin Balogun and Gabi Martinelli have seen their progress halted somewhat.

It is expected the Gunners will have to compete with the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Gladbach, and Wolfsburg if they hope to land Sertdemir.

Arsenal already have a wealth of young talent at their disposal so adding another won’t do them any harm.

It’s clear that Sertdemir is highly rated in his homeland. He is being tipped for big things so it makes perfect sense as to why the Gunners might be interested here.

Of course, a lot will have to fall into place. Competing with German clubs – who seem to give young players a chance – is tough. Arsenal, then, will be hoping Arteta and Edu can spring a bit of magic and convince the youngster to move to north London.
