Antonio Conte is planning to do something he’s never done before on Tottenham Hotspur’s team bus to Marseille tonight, according to Football.London.

The Italian boss is currently serving a one-match ban in the Champions League due to his outburst after Harry Kane’s ‘winner’ was disallowed late on against Sporting Lisbon.

If the goal was given, Spurs would have secured their place in the last-16 of the tournament. Instead, they need to pick up at least a point in France tonight.

And Football.London claims Conte will have to deliver his team-talk on the bus en route to Orange Velodrome.

Conte planning team-talk on team bus tonight

The outlet notes that Conte will not be able to talk to any of his players while he is at the stadium tonight.

This means the Italian cannot enter the dressing room, tunnel or dugout area – basically anywhere where he could get the opportunity to speak to his players.

So Conte will now be forced to deliver his team-talk to the Spurs players on the bus as they travel to the game tonight.

Football.London notes that the Spurs boss usually travels separately from his players to a game but he will be with them tonight in order to relay his messages before the game.

It’s certainly not ideal for Conte or his players that he cannot interact with them during a massive game tonight.

The Italian is an influential figure on the touchline and often relays his demands in an animated fashion to his Spurs side.

But the players will simply just have to get on with tonight and shouldn’t need any extra motivation for such a huge game.

If Tottenham fail to secure a result, they could drop down to the Europa League and would be playing football on Thursday nights after Christmas.

Conte will be desperate for his side to pull through tonight as he aims to improve on his underwhelming managerial record in the Champions League.
