Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is ready to loan out defender Djed Spence when the January transfer window opens.
Spence signed for Tottenham during the summer but is still yet to start a single game for his new club, making just three Premier League substitute appearances.
Now, the Times are reporting that Spence is likely to be allowed to leave north London when the winter window opens in the new year.
Those appearances have been one minute each, so Spence’s development has really stalled since he made the move to north London.

Tottenham could loan Spence out
Even when Emerson Royal was suspended recently, Conte turned to Matt Doherty to replace him on the right of his five-man defence.
Spence was described as a ‘club signing’ when he arrived, rather than someone Conte had personally requested to improve his squad.
Conte wants proven winners and experienced players but Spence is a youngster looking to establish himself in the Premier League.
That could now see the ‘unbelievable‘ defender loaned out in 2023, although the report does not carry any potential destinations.
Last week, the Italian indicated that he is still waiting to see improvements from the Englishman before thinking of starting him.
“This is the last problem for me. If this is the only problem for us, I’m happy,” said Conte.
“This is not a problem. For me to recover [Emerson] is good news.
“You know very well this role you lose a lot of energy during the game.
“Now Matthew played with the national team and played two games in a row with us and he played the last three Premier League games.
“To have the possibility to have an alternative, to play Emerson or Doherty, or also I’m waiting to improve Spence.
“For me it’s important.”
