Everton are still on the lookout for a new manager in wake of Carlo Ancelotti’s shock Goodison Park departure.
The Toffees are apparently closing in on Rafael Benitez, which hasn’t gone down well amongst some fans.
According to the Daily Mail, Everton have held further talks with the former Liverpool manager.
However, the newspaper says the Blues still have other candidates in the frame, and one of those is Graham Potter.
The 46-year-old currently manages fellow Premier League outfit Brighton.

Everton manager search – could Potter sneak in ahead of Benitez?
Potter has kept the south coast club punching above their weight and has comfortably secured another season of top-flight football.
Earlier in his career, he shone at Swedish club Ostersund, steering them from the fourth tier to the top flight.
Potter also won a Swedish Cup at the club, and embarked on a solid Europa League run.
He began his managerial journey in English football by joining Swansea in 2019.
Within the space of a year he made the step up to the Premier League by taking the Brighton reins.

“Deserves a lot of credit”
Premier League legend Alan Shearer named Potter as his manager of the week on 4 May.
Brighton had beaten Leeds 2-0, a result that put them 10 points clear of the bottom three with four games left to play.
“Brighton & Hove Albion look safe now, and Potter has got them there playing good football,” Shearer wrote on the Premier League website.
“He deserves a lot of credit.”
