Report: 'Amazing' Tottenham player back in training in major boost to Conte
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly received a big fitness boost ahead of their FA Cup meeting with Brighton.
According to Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas, Son Heung-min is back in Spurs training and fully fit.
Son suffered a muscle injury during Tottenham’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Chelsea.
The South Korea international missed out on Spurs’ next four matches.
However, he’ll now reportedly be fit for Saturday’s FA Cup fourth-round clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stafium.
In addition, Son could get the opportunity to face Arsenal in the rescheduled north London derby.
A two-week winter break has given the 29-year-old extra time to recover without missing more action.
Son’s imminent return to action will be a huge boost for Antonio Conte.
The “amazing” forward – in Nuno Espirito Santo’s words – boasts eight goals and four assists from 17 league games this season.
Son is yet to feature in the FA Cup this term and will be keen to open his account during Brighton’s visit.
Thomas also claimed that Antonio Conte has no injury concerns after the winter break.
However, Spurs are still waiting on a work permit for new signings Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski.
Once they’re through, the duo can begin training with Tottenham.
