An intervention from Neil Lennon has convinced Albian Ajeti to reject Premier League interest in favour of a loan move to Celtic, according to Sky Sports.
The West Ham United striker has been linked with a move to Parkhead for some time. Sky Sports notes however, that the Hoops’ hopes of signing Ajeti were dealt a blow earlier in the window with the forward keen to consider his options.

But Sky Sports is now reporting that Ajeti is ready to snub interest from England’s top flight. And it is suggested that a personal intervention from Lennon has convinced the Swiss to push towards a Celtic switch.
The report adds that Ajeti is set to undergo a medical with the Bhoys in the next 24 hours.

Sky Sports claims that he is set to sign on loan with the Scottish Premiership side having the option to make his move permanent for £5 million.
TBR View: Big boost for Celtic
Based on the report, it does appear that Celtic have invested a lot of time into getting Ajeti signed. So it would have been a big blow had they failed to bring him in.
And with Premier League sides reportedly keen, it will be a big statement should they now get a deal across the line.
It may also be a shot in the arm for Lennon. Sky’s report certainly hints that the deal would not be so close without the work that he has done.
