Mesut Ozil is the subject of a £5 million bid from Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Nassr who are keen to add him to their squad – although the German World Cup-winning midfielder looks like staying put at Arsenal (TYC Sports).
The 31-year-old has not played since March for the Gunners and has fallen way off the radar under Mikel Arteta.
Last week, the Spaniard chose to leave Ozil – along with Sokratis – out of his 25-man squad to play in this season’s Europa League.
It’s a real hammer blow for the attack-minded midfielder who signed for Arsenal in 2013 for £42.4 million from Real Madrid (BBC).

Ozil has often divided the Gunners fanbase and that’s still evident right now.
Some feel he could be doing a job in the matchday squad, whilst other supporters feel he is a blemish on the club and should be offloaded no matter what.
Ozil has played 254 times for the Gunners scoring 44 goals and registering 77 assists during his time in North London.
Al-Nassr bid £5 million for the man with 92 caps for his country, although the report suggests that Ozil will see out of his contract at Arsenal, which expires next summer.
Arsenal added Gabriel, Willian and Thomas Partey this summer and with three wins from four games, they look like being on the up.
With Ozil collecting a cool £350,000-a-week from the Gunners, however, it looks for all the world as though he will sit on his tidy contract for another year.
One solution could be to loan Ozil out, although that will probably only happen if Arsenal agrees to foot some of his salary.
TBR View – Arsenal must move on from Ozil
It’s hard not to feel some sympathy for how Ozil’s time at the Emirates Stadium is coming to a close.
Regardless of whether you fancy him as a player or not, it’s hard not to agree that on his best form, he’s up there with the best No.10s of his generation.

He played 159 times for Real Madrid during his career and will look back on his playing days with some fondness.
Arteta has got Arsenal playing though and he can ill-afford any distractions in his quest to return the Gunners to the Champions League.
With that in mind, doing all they can to offload Ozil is a no-brainer.
