West Bromwich Albion are keen to bring Ahmed Musa in on a short-term contract, with The Mail on Sunday (24/1; page 141) reporting that he could undergo a medical on Wednesday.
The Baggies have their first win under Sam Allardyce. But they remain in serious trouble in the Premier League. They are currently six points off safety.

Goals from strikers has been a major issue for West Brom. Callum Robinson has not scored since September, and the injured Karlan Grant has only bagged one since his arrival.
But it appears that a new face could arrive imminently. According to The Mail on Sunday (24/1; page 141), West Brom have requested a UK visa for Musa.

The 28-year-old is a free agent after a spell in Saudi Arabia. And it is suggested that he could undergo a medical this coming week.
The report notes that Musa would be signing a contract until the end of the season should he move to the Hawthorns.
TBR View: Musa would be shrewd signing for West Brom
The Nigeria international may not be a marquee signing for the Baggies. But on a free transfer that could only run until the end of the season, it could be a very smart piece of business.
As noted by The Mail, he became Leicester City’s club-record signing when he arrived for £16.6 million shortly after their title win.
He did not make a major impression at the King Power Stadium. But he is not far away from a career record of one goal every three games.
That sort of return could make a big difference for West Brom, who are – despite their struggles – only a couple of wins away from sending a real statement to a number of their relegation rivals.
