The agent of Romelu Lukaku is pushing him towards a move back to Chelsea, according to Alfredo Pedulla.

Interestingly though, it is claimed that the 28-year-old isn’t keen on a return to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Champions of Europe are ramping up their efforts to sign a striker. Lukaku is top of their shortlist after abandoning their pursuit of Erling Haaland.

Lukaku signed for Chelsea as a youngster. He made 15 appearances but spent time on loan with West Brom and Everton, before signing permanent terms with the Toffees.

Last season he excelled with Inter. His 30 goals in all competitions helped the club enjoy a sound season in which they lifted the Serie A title.

Lukaku has already been the subject of a bid from Chelsea, according to reports. A £100 million offer was rejected by Inter, with the Italians desperate to keep their talisman.

There have been lots of conflicting reports. The latest claims that the Belgian’s agent is now keen on forcing his client to Stamford Bridge.

Lukaku is a machine in front of goal. He has fired wherever he has played regular football and also has 64 goals in 98 appearances for Belgium.

Lukaku would be sound signing for Chelsea

Although the Belgian would be welcomed at Stamford Bridge, it’s perhaps easy to see why he’s not keen on the move.

Lukaku is settled in Milan and last season he enjoyed a quality season, scoring goals and seemingly enjoying his football.

A move to the Premier League would be a risk. During his time at Manchester United, the player often received criticism for his inability to show up in the bigger games.

The media scrutiny would be massive and perhaps he won’t fancy heading back into that sort of pressure environment.

Time is running out for Chelsea to secure a striker and Thomas Tuchel has some work to do ahead of the big kick-off.
