Arsenal’s team of analysts are said to be big fans on Neto, as the club searches for a new goalkeeper.
Neto next up?
Arsenal have seen a move for Aaron Ramsdale fall through and the Athletic reports that Neto could now be on the Gunners’ radar.
Arsenal are looking to add a back-up stopper now, rather than one who could really push Bernd Leno for a first-team place.
Leno has got used to playing a reserve role over the years at Barcelona, where he has played second fiddle to Marc Andre Ter Stegen – despite the Catalan club paying £23 million for him (ESPN).
And it seems that his role at the Emirates Stadium could be similar.
Neto would be a much cheaper option than Ramsdale, as he only has two years left on his deal at Barca.
Short-term fix
It is even claimed that Arsenal could simply look to sign him on loan as a short-term solution to their problem.

At the moment Arsenal appear to be one injury to Leno away from disaster, given their lack of cover.
And getting a deal for a new stopper over the line quickly will be crucial, with Arsenal’s new season set to start later today.
