Report: Adil Aouchiche set to leave PSG on a free, Arsenal linked
French website RMC Sport have claimed that Adil Aouchiche has informed Paris Saint-Germain that he will be leaving the club on a free transfer this summer – amid reported interest from Arsenal this summer.
Aouchiche, 17, has broken into PSG’s side this season – clocking up three senior appearances for the French champions and even scoring in a cup game. But his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
ESPN claim that Arsenal are interested in signing Aouchiche, who wants a whopping £3.6million signing on fee and £22,000 a week. Lille and Saint-Etienne are keen on keeping the teenager in France.
Now, Arsenal may have just received a boost to sign Aouchiche – after the latest report from France claims he has informed PSG that he will not be signing a new deal with the Ligue 1 outfit, and will leave on June 30.
TBR’s view – Aouchiche would be a very good signing for Arsenal
Arteta’s blueprint, from his first few months in charge, is to give young players every chance to shine and build for the future – not just now. Eddie Nketiah has been preferred to Alexandre Lacazette.
Other examples include Matteo Guendouzi being used in midfield on a regular basis, while Bukayo Saka continues to show he is one of Arsenal’s most-important players right now. Aouchiche would be another example.
On a free, Aouchiche would be a potential gem for nothing. Yes, his signing fee is steep, but he could be a real talent going forward.
