Report: Adama Traore eager to seal Tottenham move

Adama Traore is desperate to seal a move to Tottenham Hotspur amid interest from the north London club, according to 90min.

What’s the story?

Spurs have been chasing the Spain international in what remains of the transfer window.

90min say that Nuno Espirito Santo has urged Fabio Paratici to close a deal for the exciting winger, who is a priority signing.

The N17 outfit have had an initial bid for the player rejected due to the structure of the deal. Spurs are now plotting a £40m move, according to the Telegraph.

Traore showed off his prowess during the Midlanders’ 1-0 loss to Tottenham last weekend.

Traore move will not fix real Tottenham problem

If it is not Harry Kane or Heung Min Son, it normally does not result in a goal.

Tottenham have an overreliance on their star attackers, as shown by their displays last season.

Son and Kane scored/assisted 64 of the club’s 68 goals in the Premier League. Signing a threatening winger is a priority, however, Tottenham should steer clear of a deal for Traore.

While he is the second-fastest player in the Premier League and a major threat, he is wasteful in the final third.

End-product has always been a major problem for the Spaniard throughout his career. He scored two times and registered three assists last season across 37 league appearances.

It is safe to say that, if Spurs want more goals and assists from wide areas, Traore is not the player for them, especially at £40m.
