Arsenal midfielder, Lucas Torreira, is edging ever closer to leaving the club as it emerged AC Milan are now right in the mix to sign the Uruguayan star.
The midfield battler is a wanted man this summer, with Torino and Fiorentina both already registering interest. However, The Telegraph claims that AC Milan has now joined the race and could launch a bid to bring him to Serie A.

Torreira is one of a number of players Mikel Arteta is reportedly open to selling this summer. The Spaniard needs to raise funds in order to reinvest in the first-team, meaning the little-used Uruguay international could be sacrificed.
A report from the Sun this weekend claims the Gunners will look to recoup the £26m they paid for Torreira a few seasons back, while Matteo Guendouzi and Ainsley Maitland-Niles will also be sold.

Torreira is well-known in Italy thanks to his spell with Sampdoria previously.
This sale makes sense and AC Milan is a good move for Torreira too – TBR View
Torino and Fiorentina are both good clubs but a move to AC Milan is a different story altogether.
Few European clubs hold the prestige that Milan does, and Torreira would be silly not to consider a move to the red and black half of one of Italian football’s richest and historic cities.
Torreira hasn’t actually done much wrong for Arsenal, it’s just he’s not quite excelled as many thought. So, with Arteta overseeing a rebuild, it makes sense that he is one who is going to be shown the door.
And if Arsenal do get around £26m, then it will be excellent business all around, not to mention getting his reported £75k-a-week off the wage bill.
