Arsenal will face an uphill battle if they wish to land Dominik Szoboszlai, with Gazette dello Sport claiming AC Milan are set to ramp up their interest in January.
The Gunners have long been linked with a move for the RB Salzburg ace, who has developed a reputation for being both a goalscoring and creative force on the European scene.

Indeed, just last week, The Express claimed that Arsenal were still monitoring Szoboszlai, with the Gunners looking into a potential move after missing out on Houssem Aouar in the summer.
Szoboszlai was impressive last season for Salzburg, ending the season with 18 assists and 12 goals in all competitions. He’s carried that form into the current campaign, too, already hitting five goals and laying on another eight.
But Arsenal will have to act quickly it seems if they wish to land the 20-year-old. Gazetta claims Milan will press ahead with efforts to sign Szoboszlai, with a clause of around £22m reported to be in his current contract.

The Gunners are ticking along nicely under Mikel Arteta but with Gabriel Martinelli still recovering from injury and Mesut Ozil frozen out, there is potential for a creative attacking midfield player to arrive.

If that fee being reported is correct then there’s going to be quite the scramble to land Szoboszlai when January rolls round.
Arsenal have been in the hunt for him for some time now so it would be a bit absurd if they didn’t at least make a decent push to land the young star ahead of Milan.
Of course, Italy is still a big draw for some young players and Milan remains a huge club. But on the surface and for just over £20m, this looks like a no-brainer for the Gunners.
