European giants AC Milan are interested in securing the signing of Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira before the transfer window closes, according to Di Marzio.
The Milanese club defeated Shamrock Rovers 2-0 last night in the Europa League and it would appear they are keen to bolster their ranks before the new season.
Arsenal are thought to want around £22 million for the midfielder who signed for the club for £26 million in 2018 from Sampdoria (Metro).

The 24-year-old has struggled to make an impact on the Premier League with injuries and consistency hampering his progress.
He has played 89 games in all competitions for the Gunners, scoring four goals and registering six assists during his time at the club.
Arsenal are keen to raise some funds in order to complete their own summer recruitment drive.
Boss Mikel Arteta has added Willian, Gabriel and the loan signing of Dani Ceballos to his ranks so far this summer, with Thomas Partey still high on his shortlist.
In order to sign the Atletico Madrid performer, however, funds will need to be raised and offloading Torreira seems like a good move.
It is thought that AC Milan will want to get the price lower than Arsenal’s current valuation and their desire to raise funds could help.
Torreira is paid £75,000-a-week at the Emirates Stadium and even getting his wages off the books would help in their quest to land Partey.
TBR View – Arsenal should hold out for the very best deal
The fact that Arsenal haven’t offloaded Torreira yet suggests they are perhaps hoping that a bidding war is sparked for the Uruguayan.

Torino and Fiorentina have also been cited as interested parties this summer, with AC Milan now in the mix.
Torreira isn’t in Arteta’s plans and keeping him makes absolutely no sense at all.
Arsenal will want to ensure they get the best deal possible for the international to allow them their own assault on Atletico for the signing of Partey.
