Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe is attracting attention from AC Milan ahead of the summer, with Corriere dello Sport reporting that the Rossoneri could look to open talks with the Gunners in the next window.

Pepe is certainly looking like one player who could leave the Emirates at the end of the season. Of course, he became the club’s record signing when he moved to North London.

He has shown flashes of ‘outstanding‘ brilliance with the Gunners. However, he has never quite managed to live up to expectations with Mikel Arteta’s side.

Pepe has not been on the pitch for longer than half an hour in a single Premier League game since October for Arsenal. And he has taken the opportunity in this international break to speak about his frustrations over not playing.

Pepe left the door open for a potential departure in the summer. And reports in Italy are now suggesting that Serie A could be where he ends up.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Milan want Pepe. And they could look to open talks with Arsenal in the summer.

It is noted that his asking price could be £25.4 million.

Arsenal should not snub £25m bid if AC Milan go in for Pepe

Obviously, Arsenal will want to recoup as much as possible for Pepe. But in truth, they will have surely accepted by now that no-one is going to go close to the £72 million the Gunners paid.

And given how little he has played this season, £25 million would not be a terrible fee to receive. It is a huge loss. But the writing has been on the wall for some time.

Arsenal could have a Champions League campaign to prepare for this summer. So offloading fringe players like Pepe will be a big boost.
