Heung-Min Son is reportedly “on the verge” of agreeing a new contract with Tottenham to give everyone a huge boost.

According to the Daily Express, Spurs are in the “final stages” of talks with the 28-year-old about him penning a fresh deal with them.

It is explained that there are talks are over a two-year extension to his existing contract, and the £80million-rated attacker has now decided to agree terms on a deal which has been on the table since September.

The report claims that club chairman Daniel Levy wants to wrap up the deal quickly to find some good news during what has been a turbulent time for the north London club.

Spurs were involved in the controversy around the proposed European Super League, they’ve sacked manager Jose Mourinho, and were beaten 1-0 to Manchester City at the weekend in the Carabao Cup final.

A lot of people are discussing Harry Kane’s future after another trophyless season at Spurs, but the club’s fans can at least celebrate some news if Son does commit his future to them.

The South Korean attacker is currently under contract until 2023, but tying him down until 2025 would be a significant piece of business.

He’s been in stunning individual form this season, scoring 20 goals and setting up 16 assists in 46 games across all competitions.
