Liverpool are set to keep hold of Takumi Minamino this season, Goal.com say.
Sticking around
Liverpool loaned out Minamino to Southampton from January last term, with the forward yet to really make an impact since moving to Anfield.
Minamino has been unable to force his way into Liverpool’s attack in the same way that Diogo Jota has, and has seemingly struggled with the physicality of the league.
The Japanese international did well enough on a loan at Southampton, although even then his form was patchy.
But it seems that Jurgen Klopp wants to give the technically efficient forward another chance of succeeding on Merseyside.
Austrian inclusion
Minamino has been with the club in Austria on pre-season training and it seems that he has impressed.
Liverpool sources now say that the club look set to reject all offers for the £7 million man (BBC Sport) as Klopp wants to keep him around.

That is a real show of faith from Klopp in the former RB Salzburg man, and it will be interesting to see if it pays off.
If Minamino is to make an impact he will surely need to show more than he has throughout his career with the club so far.
And much could depend on how he starts the season, as to just how much game time he receives.
