Report: £77m attacker is dreaming of the Premier League with Liverpool keen to sign him
Kingsley Coman is dreaming of a move to the Premier League, amid links with Liverpool – according to Le10 Sport.
Premier League dreams
Bayern Munich have apparently tried to extend Coman’s contract recently, but he has turned down their approaches.
That is because he now has his sights set on a move to England, with Liverpool said to chasing the wide-man.
If Coman doesn’t pen an extension, Bayern could be forced into selling him next year, as his current deal runs out in 2023.
That means that next summer may be the German champion’s last chance to get a fee for the Frenchman.
If Liverpool were to sign him he could, therefore, be available on a cut price deal.
Bayern did want £77 million for Coman in the summer (BILD), but that was before he rejected their contract offer.
The latest update says that Jurgen Klopp’s side will have to beat Manchester City to the punch though, as Pep Guardiola’s men are also keen.
The appeal of signing Coman for Liverpool is clear.
The winger, who was the third fastest player at Euro 2020, certainly has the pace to fit into Liverpool’s system.
His dribbling ability also makes him a major threat, and at the age of 25, he could reduce the average age of Liverpool’s attack.
The major concern would be around his injury record, which is not the most reliable.
But if he is available on a cut price deal then it could be a gamble worth taking for Klopp’s men.
