Wolves are reportedly eyeing Okay Yokuslu this summer.

And the Molineux outfit shouldn’t have any problems convincing his club to sell him.

According to Marca, Yokuslu’s agent, Batur Altiparmak, has spoken with Celta Vigo officials on Friday.

Apparently, he was seeking to finalise the 27-year-old’s exit and had “an offer” to present to the club’s board.

While the report didn’t mention a club, it suggested that the player’s future “could be in the Premier League”.

This is a boost to Wolves and a blow to Championship Watford, who are apparently also eyeing Yokuslu.

In addition, the Turkey international is apparently not in the squad for their next friendly – coincidentally, against Wolves.

Yokuslu appears surplus to requirements at Celta and, at just £5million, would constitute a bargain.

The £31,000-a-week midfielder made a huge impression in the Premier League this year, shining on loan at West Brom.

He made just 16 appearances, but he very quickly became a fan favourite at The Hawthorns.

In April, The Athletic wrote: “Yokuslu’s presence as a protector of (Sam) Allardyce’s back four has enabled other members of the squad to perform at a higher level than before.”

And West Brom icon Nigel Quashie tweeted in February that Yokuslu is a player who “sets the tone. Aggressive and on the front foot from start to finish!”

Yokuslu has also won 37 caps for Turkey and played in all three of his country’s games at Euro 2020.
