If Isco stays at Real Madrid, Arsenal target Martin Odegaard may have to leave, Defensa Central report.
Forced out?
It seems that Madrid need to clear the decks to make room for their own addition of Kylian Mbappe ahead of time.
Madrid are lining up a move for the PSG superstar next summer, but they will need to raise funds – and that could benefit Arsenal.
Madrid currently have both Isco and Odegaard who want to play in the same section of the pitch, but both have been linked with a move away now.
It is Arsenal who are pushing the hardest to sign Odegaard, after his successful loan spell last season though, as Goal have claimed.
Goal’s report says that Mikel Arteta loves Odegaard and really wants the £40 million man at Arsenal.
And Madrid’s stance could help him. Rather than have a bloated squad, Madrid could sanction his departure if Isco does stay.
The Spanish international has been linked with an exit himself recently, but no move seems advanced.

Encouraging signs
The latest update, therefore, makes encouraging reading for Arsenal fans, who are behind the idea of Odegaard re-signing.
The Norwegian spent six months on loan at Arsenal last term, when he injected creativity into their starting line-up.
Although Odegaard would need to start increasing his output in terms of goals and assist if he was to sign for Arsenal permanently, it was clear to see the potential that the 22-year-old has.
And with Arsenal struggling to get a deal for a number 10 over the line, he could be an appealing option as the transfer window draws towards its latter stages.
