Report: £30m player could well move to PSG rather than Newcastle now
Hugo Ekitike could join PSG over Newcastle after the Magpies pulled out of their agreed deal to sign the frontman.
90Min report that Newcastle have walked away from their attempts to sign the Frenchman because of his agent’s demands.
Newcastle had agreed a transfer fee with Ligue 1 outfit Reims for the sale of Ekitike and personal terms with the player were also all sorted.
But his agent then moved the goalposts and wanted additional fees and payments, which have seen Newcastle lose their patience.

And now it seems that French champions Paris Saint-Germain could now swoop in and get a deal done for the £30 million man.
They are now leading the chase and Ekitike is a self-confessed fan of Kylian Mbappe – who has now confirmed he will be staying in the French capital next season.
Ekitike has also been likened to French superstar Mbappe, and the two could now be playing together next term, even though there is still a small chance he could end up wearing the famous black and white.
The report says that Newcastle could yet go back in if the agent’s demands become more reasonable again, but as it stands, the deal is off.
It had already been reported this week that Ekitike had not been taking Newcastle’s calls while he was away on holiday, or getting back to them.
That was a sign that the deal could be about to hit the rocks and now it seems that PSG are about to try and swoop in to take advantage.
They can of course offer huge wages, Champions League football and the chance for Ekitike to play alongside his idol Mbappe.
