Alex Runarsson was actually seen in Arsenal training at London Colney yesterday in a video broadcast by the club’s official website.
Runarsson has been heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal in recent times, with the Express saying that he was set for a move to Turkey.
However, it seems that his departure may not be as imminent as many suspected.
Runarsson was spotted arriving at Arsenal’s training ground as Mikel Arteta’s side begin pre-season.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that the Icelandic international will definitely stay.
But it was interesting to see him considered as part of Arsenal’s group still, despite reports suggesting he was so close an exit.
Writing on the wall?
If Runarsson stays at Arsenal he will surely only be considered third choice.
While the Gunners do not have a viable back-up goalkeeper currently, they are expected to sign a stopper who can challenge Bernd Leno for his first-team place.
Unfortunately for Runarsson he looks unlikely to be given that opportunity.
Runarsson has struggled in almost every appearance he has made for Arsenal so far and even though he only signed a year ago, the writing seems to be on the wall for his career at the Emirates Stadium.
