Report: £20m Arsenal player has now agreed terms to leave the club
Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has agreed personal terms with Inter Milan, Sport claim, but no fee has been agreed with the Gunners.
Bellerin would be prepared to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, and his verbally agreed a contract with Inter.
However, Arsenal’s £20 million price tag is proving difficult to overcome for the Italian side.
Exit door looms
Bellerin’s departure from Arsenal has seemed on the cards all summer, but this latest update puts him as close to the exit as he has been.
It feels as if now is the right time for Arsenal to cash in on the Spaniard.
Bellerin has not quite progressed into the elite level right-back many were predicting when he was a youngster.
The rapid defender’s lack of end product has frustrated some Arsenal fans, and he actually fell out of favour towards the back end of last season.
Arsenal do have Calum Chambers and Cedric Soares who can play at right-back in their current squad, but if Bellerin does depart he will surely need to be replaced by another right back.
