A player reportedly on the radar of Liverpool who has been compared to Reds ace Roberto Firmino was the subject of a £2.5million bid by a rival suitor which has been turned down, according to The Mirror.
Vasco da Gama striker Talles Magno has been deemed “the biggest revelation in Vasco’s history in recent years“, the talented 17-year-old having made 22 first-team appearances already.
According to Bolavip, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have expressed an interest in the youngster, along with Italian trio Lazio, Roma and Juventus.
“The tall forward is regarded as one of the most exciting emerging talents in Brazil, and can play a role similar to that of Roberto Firmino at Anfield,” wrote The Mirror.

Magno is also believed to be sought after by Portuguese side Benfica, and the outlet claims a £2.5million bid from them has been turned down.
The Mirror also claims Vasco could be in need to sell due to financial issues, while Bolavip said Vasco are living up to the saying “sell lunch to eat for dinner”.
In wake of the financial uncertainty caused by the football shutdown due to the global health crisis, the club’s directors are reportedly hoping to raise funds now just to be safe.
TBR View:
Magno is undoubtedly a player with much potential, The Guardian naming him in their top 60 talents for the next generation, hailing him as a “breath of fresh air”.
As well as his exploits for Vasco, he has also scored three goals in six appearances for Brazil Under-17s.
With Vasco having reportedly considered and then rejected a mere £2.5million bid, Liverpool would surely have no problem in blowing Benfica out of the water.
