A striker believed to be on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar is all but certain to leave his current club barring an “incredible turnaround” in their form, according to a report in Le11Amienois.
Spurs have been linked with Amiens forward Serhou Guirassy by the Daily Mail, who reported that the North Londoners are one of four Premier League sides keen on his signature.
Tottenham reportedly watched the 23-year-old – along with Aston Villa, Leicester and Brighton – in action against Paris Saint-Germain, netting twice in a 4-4 draw, while Chelsea are also said to be watching him closely (Sky Sports).
Guirassy seemingly also has suitors north of the border, with Scottish Premiership giants Celtic linked with his services – though his £18million price tag may be out of the Hoops’ budget.
The report in Le11Amienois suggests that only a turnaround little short of miraculous will now persuade Guirassy to commit his future to a side sitting second from bottom in the Ligue 1 table.
Guirassy has been praised by the Ligue 1 website, which wrote about him: “Tall and powerful, Guirassy has all the hallmarks of a classic target man, and he can play this role.

“Strong in the air and in the challenge, Guirassy has that killer instinct and is a tough prospect for defenders and ‘keepers alike.”
TBR View:
Guirassy may have a relatively low eight goals – plus one assist – from 22 league appearances this season, but considering Amiens have scored just 29 league goals all season, it shows just how important he is to the team.
In addition, scoring twice in one game against PSG is no easy feat, and there was even a time when the 6ft 2in forward was linked with Tottenham’s arch-rivals Arsenal, who reportedly wanted him for £1million back in 2016 (talkSPORT).
Tottenham are in desperate need of bolstering their attacking ranks next season, but with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min set to be available, the profile Spurs could do with is a talented young striker who may be relatively happy to begin as a rotation player as he continues to develop.
At £18million and 23 years old, he’s not tremendously expensive as far as leading Premier League budgets go, so Spurs should certainly continue monitoring the player to see how he finishes the season.
