Instead, the youngsters will train with Tottenham’s first team all season under Nuno, which could be great for their development.
Some of Spurs’ players returned to pre-season training earlier this week, but neither of the young duo are yet to be spotted in senior training.
That being said when they return they are expected to be assessed by Nuno.
For all Jose Mourinho’s past criticism for failing to play youngsters, he clearly had faith in both Devine and Scarlett.
Mourinho consistently spoke highly of Scarlett’s talents, while Devine became Tottenham’s youngest ever scorer last year.
The 16-year-old netted against Marine in the FA Cup, and it remains to be seen whether he will be given more game time in Spurs’ first-team under Nuno.
