Leeds United may be keeping a very close eye on events taking place at Newcastle with the Chronicle reporting that Freddie Woodman has seen a loan move elsewhere fall through.
The Whites reportedly want Woodman after loaning Kiko Casilla out this week. It was claimed that they also have their eye on Kristoffer Klaesson and Dani Cardenas.

However, Woodman appears to be their top target. Later reports even suggested that a bid had been made earlier this week.
It always appeared that Leeds may face a tough task trying to convince Woodman to move to Elland Road.

While the 24-year-old is in a tricky position at St James’ Park, he would also face a major challenge in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad with Illan Meslier proving to be an inspired signing.
Interestingly, it appears that Leeds were set to miss out anyway. According to the Chronicle, Woodman was about to join Bournemouth on loan.
In fact, he had undergone a medical. But it now seems that that move will not be happening.
The Chronicle notes that Martin Dubravka has sustained an injury. And with that, Woodman is expected to stay for now.
Remains to be seen if Woodman loan move falling through is good or bad news for Leeds
The news could arguably be viewed two different ways by those at Elland Road.
For some, it may be encouraging. Had he left on loan, Leeds would have obviously had to look elsewhere this summer.
However, if Dubravka’s injury is serious, it is extremely difficult to see Newcastle letting Woodman leave in any capacity in this window.
It may perhaps also open the door for Woodman to feature for Steve Bruce’s side. If he takes his chance like Karl Darlow did previously, it is hard to imagine any club being able to lure the £10 million-rated stopper away.
