'Reminds me of Woodgate': Leeds fans discuss Pascal Struijk's season

Leeds United have enjoyed quite the return to the top flight following their lengthy absence, with a top-half finish firmly in their sights.

Marcelo Bielsa has managed to keep to his principles that got Leeds out of the Championship. And rather than tire like so many predicted, the Whites have, arguably, got stronger as the season has progressed forward.

There are so many players in this Leeds team who deserve credit. The usual suspects like Patrick Bamford, Raphinha, and Stuart Dallas get regular praise from the the Elland Road faithful. But one man who often slips under the radar is young defender, Pascal Struijk.

Struijk, 21, has been outstanding at times and has proved a valuable squad player for Bielsa. His ability to play at the back or in midfield has been perfect for the Leeds boss. And while far from the finished article, the club have certainly got a future star on their hands it seems.

Leeds fans, then, have been discussing Struijk’s performances this season on Twitter. The club posed the question to its supporters over the weekend, and it’s safe to say that Whites supporters are impressed with Struijk. Here’s a look at what was said.
