A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to praise Diogo Jota’s efforts in Thursday night’s big Premier League victory.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds headed to Manchester United and ran out 4-2 winners for a huge boost in their pursuit of Champions League qualification.
Jota was preferred to Sadio Mane on the left of Liverpool’s attack and he justified his inclusion with the Reds’ equaliser after Bruno Fernandes had opened the scoring.

From a corner, Nat Phillips kept the ball alive after Mohamed Salah’s initial shot was blocked, sending a low ball towards goal which Jota flicked home from close range.
Admittedly, Jota did spurn two opportunities during the game, but his overall performance was solid, being a thorn in the opposition’s side and winning the ball back plenty of times.
Here’s what some Liverpool fans made of the Portuguese’s efforts at Old Trafford:
Roberto Firmino struck twice in quick succession for Liverpool either side of half time and, while Marcus Rashford gave the Red Devils hope of a result, Salah made it 4-2 late on.
Up next for Liverpool is Sunday’s Premier League trip to West Bromwich Albion.
