A former Leeds United player is currently training with last season’s Champions League semi-finalists Ajax. However, Leeds United fans should not start worrying about potentially losing a future star.
Instead, it is the club flop Vurnon Anita who is keeping fit in Amsterdam.
That is according to a report from Voetbal International. They report that Anita is training with the club’s youngsters, known as Jong Ajax as he looks for a new club.

Leeds United tried to move Anita on in the summer but could not find a new club for the Dutchman. He spent last season at Willem II on loan and was clearly not in the plans of Marcelo Bielsa. He was subsequently released from his contract after failing to have any real impact at Leeds United.

It is no surprise to hear that Anita is with Ajax. The 30-year-old, who has three caps for the Netherlands, spent 13 years at Ajax as a youngster and then into his professional career before joining Newcastle United in 2012.
So hearing that the Dutch giants are allowing him to keep his fitness up at the club this summer is good to hear.
Anita never quite won over the fans at Leeds but nobody at the club will begrudge him better luck in the future.
Hopefully, training with Ajax can help him find his new home.
