According to The Independent, Arsenal will not be letting Reiss Nelson leave in January, despite concerns over an apparent lack of game time for the midfielder.
The Gunners are preparing to try and move on some of their squad players this January. The likes of Sead Kolasinac and Sokratis appear to already be on their way, while talk around Mesut Ozil continues.

Nelson, meanwhile, has seen his name come to the fore when it comes to discussions on player exits, having seemingly been out of Mikel Arteta’s plans in recent times.
However, the Independent claims Nelson won’t be going anywhere, and Arteta himself has clarified just why the 21-year-old has been missing.
“He has not been 100 per cent fit and that is the reason why he has been out and not featuring in the squad. He had a muscular issue. He has been in and out of training, but not been 100 per cent,” Arteta said.

Other Arsenal players like Lucas Torreira could secure permanent moves away, while the club are also said to be keen on a new attacking midfielder, with Isco among the names being mentioned.
Nelson too good to give up on just yet – TBR View
Arteta has done the right thing in clarifying Nelson’s situation here. He was doing pretty well prior to the injury and there is no good reason why Arsenal need to be letting him go just yet.
At 21, he’s plenty of time on his side and Arteta has already shown he’s ready to put his faith in young players when necessary.
Nelson, then, should be just fine with the Gunners for the foreseeable future at the very least.
