Reiss Nelson has taken to Instagram to send a message to Joe Willock with the Arsenal youngster set to join Newcastle United on loan.

Willock has been one of the main protagonists on deadline day. The Daily Mail reported at the weekend that Newcastle had made the 21-year-old a top target.

That report claimed that the Gunners had reservations about a move. However, it appears that those concerns have been alleviated.

BBC Sport has reported that he has completed a move to St James’ Park.

Newcastle are yet to confirm the move just yet. But it would appear that it is imminent – particularly judging by Nelson’s Instagram story.

The Arsenal starlet insisted that Willock now has his opportunity to shine and backed him to make a major impact while he is away on Tyneside…

Willock could really benefit from some time away from the Emirates. He has only made two starts in the Premier League this season.

He is at a crucial stage in his career. And playing regularly is going to go a long way to helping the youngster continue his development.

Interestingly, The Telegraph has hinted that his time as a Newcastle player may not end in the summer.

They suggest that, while there is no option to buy, there may be scope for Newcastle to ask for a further loan deal ahead of next season.
