Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has claimed Daniel Levy told him that manager Mauricio Pochettino is not under pressure to win any trophies.
Spurs take on Crystal Palace in their first-ever match at their new stadium on Wednesday, and there is a buzz at the dawn of a new era for the football club.
The 62,062-seater venue is finally ready to go after being delayed, with two successful test events having recently taken place.

Spurs fans will certainly be hoping it can be the new breeding ground for winning trophies, but according to Levy, current manager Pochettino is not under any pressure to deliver silverware.
Redknapp said on talkSPORT: “I was at Anfield on Sunday and I spoke to Daniel Levy, and he said there’s no pressure on Pochettino to win anything.
“No one is pushing him or telling him, ‘we need a trophy’, or, ‘we need to do it this year’.”
TBR’s view
If Levy did say that, then Tottenham fans might well worry.
The club have not won a trophy since the League Cup back in 2008, and they have forged a reputation in recent years as being ‘nearly men’.

At this point in his reign, Pochettino should be under at least some pressure to deliver silverware.
He has done magnificent work so far in terms of player development and establishing an entertaining style of play, but the Argentine could do with a trophy to his name for all his hard work.
It suggests that the mentality is not quite right. This attitude could see Spurs continue to fall short when they should be winning titles.
