With the season over and the summer window looming Premier League clubs will start to turn their attention to the transfer market, with a view to strengthening their respective sides ahead of the 2015/16 Premier League campaign. At The Boot Room, we are preparing to bring you all of the best opinion and analysis as the deals roll in.
In Sunday’s Manchester United transfer round-up: The Red Devils are set to target a £30 million-rated Sevilla midfielder; the club are set to battle rivals Manchester City for the signature of a 20-year-old Bundesliga midfielder; and finally, the Old Trafford outfit have planned a £10 million bid for a 17-year-old Premier League defender.
Manchester United are planning a move for £30million-rated Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, according to the Sun. Reports suggest that the Poland international is £30million target for the Red Devils following his excellent performances in Spain and Europe this season. Most recently, of course, he helped guide his side to success in the Europa League final versus Liverpool. He is a wanted man in the Premier League, with Arsenal also showing long-term interest.
Strong in the air, as well as being an excellent reader of the game, the Poland international would be a fine addition for the Old Trafford outfit. The club signed Morgan Schneiderlin last summer, with the intention of him becoming the club’s commander in midfield, but the Frenchman hasn’t quite lived up to the hype during his debut campaign. Krychowiak would undoubtedly pose a very strong claim for this title.
Having proved his class against Premier League opposition in Europe, the United hierarchy would be crazy to allow the 26-year-old to slip under the radar.
