‘Really underrated’: Romano now says Leeds United still want De Ketelaere's ex-teammate, he’s available in January

One of the longest-running transfer sagas of the summer was Leeds United’s pursuit of forward Charles de Ketelaeare.

The Belgian eventually ended up joining AC Milan, which Andrea Radrizzani has already said he regrets.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on one of De Ketelaere’s former teammates.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said that Leeds are interested in signing young winger Noa Lang.

In a boost to Leeds, Romano also believes that Lang is ‘still available’ on the market.

Noa Lang, a player I really appreciate, I think he’s really underrated.” Romano said.

“It’s true that Brugge already sold Charles de Ketelaere to AC Milan, but Noa Lang was available on the market.

“He will be available in the future transfer windows, so a really important and interesting opportunity.

“He was on the list of Leeds for example, and also some other clubs around Europe were tracking him, especially in Italy.

“But now, Noa Lang, is still available on the market, so a missed opportunity.”

Leeds interested in ‘underrated’ Lang

Jesse Marsch’s side aren’t the only Premier League team who have been linked with Lang in the past.

Rudy Galetti believes that Arsenal made a last ditch bid to sign Lang in the summer.

The 23-year-old is a left-winger is already a Dutch international and has been described as having a ‘silky creative swagger’.

Lang has been a regular for Club Brugge in the Champions League for the past two seasons.

He’s also provided 41 goal contributions in the league in that time, which is a brilliant return.

The winger tends to play mainly on the left, but can also play on the right, through the middle or even as a centre-forward.

The signing of Luis Sinisterra, and brilliant form of Jack Harrison, means another winger is unlikely to be a priority for Leeds.

If he’s available for the right price, then Leeds would be silly not to be interested in signing Lang.

The Dutchman would be an investment for the future, and would more competition in the forward areas.

However, the Whites have already loaned out senior winger Dan James this season.

It seems wiser to recall the Welshman than spend more money on a potential replacement.
